The Surge, Frontier Energy Network’s Monthly Newsletter

Welcome to the September edition of The Surge – designed to keep you connected with all that’s happening within the Frontier Energy Network.

With less than 2 weeks before the second World Energies Summit takes place, we think this is the perfect opportunity to bring you the latest Summit news.

If you’ve already got your ticket, we’re looking forward to seeing you. If you’ve yet to secure your place, then time (and tickets!) are running out…

Participating Governments

Government attendance is at the heart of the World Energies Summit, as we facilitate engagement between countries and their potential investors.

Last week, we announced that Venezuela’s MINPET will feature in a dedicated government showcase, during which delegates will gain exclusive insight into the country’s fiscal and legal terms, the attractive geology at play and their offshore gas exploration campaign.

Venezuela is committed to a campaign to re-evaluate its extensive hydrocarbon potential and in particular increase the certification of its gas reserves.

This new development strategy for offshore exploration, being spearheaded by the MINPET is aimed at unlocking more resources in this well-known hydrocarbon country, considered to have the largest oil reserves in the world.

This year our attending governments hail from Asia Pac, East Mediterranean, North Africa, North America and Latin America. Some are frontier, some are more established – ALL are of interest to the investor community.

Joining Venezuela are:

Agenda Highlights

If you haven’t already done so, we highly recommend that you access the full World Energies Summit agenda here.

With guests of honour joining us to share their experiences, our agenda spans the globe, and brings the governments, IOCs, NOCs, independents, investors and supply chain companies leading the development of exploration and production from Indonesia to North America.

To give you a taste of what to expect…

  • Ministerial Keynote speech from H.E. Dr. Walid Fayed, Ministry for Energy & Water, Lebanon

  • Presentations on cutting-edge exploration strategies by TGS, SLB, Galp, Shell, Viridien, and Eni

  • Panel discussions on investment opportunities in emerging global E&P regions, including Asia & Oceania, Eastern Mediterranean, Africa, and The Americas

  • Keynote speech from Philip Lambert, CEO, Lambert Energy Advisory

  • Dedicated networking opportunities at the World London Leaders' Reception

  • Exclusive roundtable discussions with emerging and new producers, for Government and NOCs attending the event

This is the only upstream event where ONLY the key decision makers are in the room. It’s confidential, it’s intimate – you have the ability to connect with all fellow delegates.

We are excited to announce that long-term Frontier partner, TGS, is confirmed as Platinum Sponsor joining fellow Platinum Sponsors ExxonMobil and Shell. Our CEO, Gayle Meikle sums it up by saying: "This enduring partnership underscores TGS' commitment to fostering vibrant platforms for the C-level exploration and production community, as well as facilitating meaningful interactions between governments, regulators, and investors. A special thanks to Chris Drage and Rob Holden for their exceptional contributions."

Global Licensing Round Report: Assets on the Block

Perfectly timed in advance of the World Energies Summit, our Industry Insight Partner and leading global scouting company, Enverus, has developed another outstanding report, highlighting key themes surrounding Licensing Rounds across global energy hotspots and direct negotiations taking place within the oil and gas industry.

Making for a fascinating read, it delivers a greater insight into the global upstream industry and countries to watch.
